As for adding boiling water, I wonder if that would 'kill' the veggies? What you could do instead is just throw all the veggies in and some room temp water and blend for a few minutes. It will warm up some through the blending, but not enough to destroy the enzymes. At least, that's what I've been told. Dr. D has a great tom soup that we love to make and we let it blend for about 4 minutes and it gets slightly warm. It's basically just tomatoes, celery and water. He does say you can add some cashews in his receipe book, but I think he kind of stays away from them now days. Is that right - anyone? Anyway, we top off the soup with sliced avocado - m-m-m! That's just one idea. I'm sure there are hundreds more.
