As far as I know, mucus is also a medium of transport for the body, so we are never fully rid of it. Our bodies use more of it, the more it needs to transport. The more toxic the substance being transported, the more mucus needed to protect the body along the way from absorbing it by mistake. Toxins are the main thing transported in mucus with most people, so it is quite likely that is what's up with you. Current or past toxins are hard to tell in the moment sometimes. Perhaps with some experimentation and record keeping you will determine what happened in the past & be able to tell better the next time... Also, the fact that it's mainly in the morning gives me the impression that it's most likely toxins the mucus is dealing with as our bodies have a natural rhythm of sorts that does a mini-houscleaning of sorts in the mornings (if we don't interfere with it so much that it gets too overwhelmed with stuff to clean it gives up for a bit). Most of us have lots of accumulated toxins that our bodies gradually get rid of through all the avenues it has to do so, one of which is mucus. I've been doing this for a couple of years now & I still get mucus in the mornings (not as bad as I used to, but still get it). I know my body's not finished cleaning out the old junk yet, but it's getting better all the time. :-) I don't know about throat yeast, but I'd think you'd have a sore throat too if that were the case.. as I said I don't know about that though, so take that thought accordingly, heh. Okay, probably chuck it... but I don't think mucus alone is an indicator of yeast in the throat. It's probably more a factor of your cleansing in the morning and perhaps an unitentional miscombining on your hubby's part. If his smoothie is properly combined and/or he eats fruit alone and gets a sudden increase in mucus I would suspect that he needs to put more time in-between what he ate before it next time. It is quite likely that what he ate before has not finished digesting and is still being worked on, so the addition of fruit is complicating things, etc. This can be happening even it's the first thing he has in the morning as many people can wake with the food from the evening before still stitting in their stomach undigested. The likelihood of this happening increases with the digestiong difficulties you have placed for your body. Any one of the following things can delay digestion of your previous night's foods: eating too close to bedtime, eating too much fat, miscombining your foods, eating cooked foods, emotional distress, eating when you should really be sleeping instead (when too tired), and more. Hope that helps. ;-) Aloha!
