I am the mom that has the son who had a head injury and was sent to Duke University Trauma Center. He is still there and making slow progress..but we are moving forward. One question is..I have lost about 5 pounds down to 125. I am still trying to eat as much as possible. Your vitamins will be arriving today and the DHA. I am trying for a blended salad twice a day, soup and salad and fruit at the hospital and I also bring my own since we are taking shifts of spending nights with our son. I feel ok, but don't care to see the weight come off. Second question, and I may need to have a phone consultation with you about this. We are heading to Greenville, NC for inpatient rehab. Not sure how long, maybe a few months. He has been on the feeding tube, but had the swallow test yesterday and they will begin giving food orally. I requested to speak to the nutritionist and also need to do this when we go to rehab, and express my concern on what to feed him. I plan to bring my Vitamix with me to rehab. I shared with him no meat or dairy and they twitched an eye which made me think they don't know much about the nutition that I am lookin for for my Michael. Your advice would be greatly appreciated and if you think a phone consultation would be a better way to address my concerns to you, please say so. Patty In NC
