Yes, there is evidence, but it is usually not a welcomed one.
There is no interest in validating the truth about nutrition.

There are primary and secondary poisoning resulting from ingesting of heated foods. Primary is the result of directly taking poisons to your body, secondary is the result of fermentation and putrefaction in your intestines.
Today, no intelligent nutrition expert doubts about the negative effects of cooking. The nutrition lost is 50-90%. Max Planck Institute clearly demonstrated that protein loss is 50% if food is cooked (this will also mean, that the rest will putrefy and poison the body). Vitamin loss is even greater - 80-90%, phytonutrients, enzymes and fibres are completely damaged. With high temperatures, very poisonous substances are created - Acrylamides, Heterocyclic amines, Benzopyrene to name some of them.
F.M. Pottenger's study with cats and cooked food shows that animals clearly cannot survive on cooked foods.
Dr. Kouchakoff made a study, where he points out the patologic effect of cooked foods, they cause digestive leukocytosis (raw natural food does not cause this).
Dr. Howard Loomis studied this on hundreds of patients and concluded, that cooked foods present a big stress on the imunne system.
There are many doctors, who have used raw foods to heal thousands of patients with cancer and other incurable diseases. Max Gerson, Kirstine Nolfi etc.

The whole food in its natural state, fresh and ripe presents the ultimate nutrition for us. I hear now and then in radio or read in newspapers that the modern science clearly shows, that all the nutrients and micronutrients work best when intact, they simply cooperate and body can make the best use of them. No cooking, pasteurisation, refining or fermentation will improve their nutrition value. Yes, they can improve values of some individual nutrients with the side effects of destroying many other nutrients. And what the use has the body of some extra nutrients, it cannot use without the help of the destroyed ones?
