On this board we use culinary definitions of food, always, so as not to confuse anyone. The botanical definition of many foods is different than the culinary. Almonds are fruits, pineapples are vegetable, okra is fruit, etc, according to botany. Rather than confuse anyone when it comes to fruits and veggies, or for that matter when it comes to differentiating grains, grasses, seeds, etc from each other, we stick with the culinary, or kitchen use definition.
