The idea of whole foods only is great in theory, and if we lived in the forests and never had had anything else it would be simple, but that's not the reality for all of us.

One of the issues I now have is the all or nothing approach - whether it's the odd bit of white sugar, salt or occasional piece of pizza or cake. While there are some people who are able to adapt to that approach, there are too many people not doing as well as they should be because of the restrictive nature of the '' pure diet ''.

No one is being told to eat anything not pure, but to scare new people into believing that if they eat a healthy diet and need the occasional whatsoever either for their taste buds or their emotional well being, or to feel satisfied physically leads to all sorts of problems.

How often do we see people eating a whole foods diet and then they go and binge on the wrong foods? If they were allowed to have minimum to moderate amounts of whatever they craved ( if that's what their body and mind wanted ) we may not be having so many disgruntled people on these boards.
