Dr. Graham has mentioned here before, as well as
taught at his fasting retreats, that faecal matter
may accumulate in outpockets of the intestine. This
condition usually occurs from a low- or no-fibre
diet. Alternatively, fecalomas (literally "faecal
tumours") may develop from lack of fibre, or bezoars
may develop from eating certain non-foods. These can
block the main passage of the colon and give
megacolon that way.
Neither the contents of the outpockets nor the
contents that may block the main passage of the
colon are described as mucoid plaques or any other
plaques in medical literature.
Although the colon contents haven't been described
in that way, I want to thank you for bringing your
views to this board. You're helping us to clarify
hygiene to more people. Here, we put our trust in
the body proper. We see the body as capable of
healing and repairing, or building and developing,
according to the limitation of matter and the types
of causes being put into effect. We also see the
necessity of lifestyle factors to promote health and
healing. We are wary of procedures such as colonics
or enemas, given that their "healing" ability can be
easily debunked using concepts taught in hygiene.
What are you washing out? The good stuff with the
bad. And the god stuff is VERY important for our
health.
What risks are involved? Possible scarring and even
never being able to have an unassisted bowel
movement ever again.
What does the feeling of energy come with the
procedure? It's a stimulation to the body, and for
every up there's a down. Just give the body some
time and the down will come. Only, sleep is what
provides the body with the ability to experience the
up in the first place. The colonic/enema just
promotes the body's own expenditure of energy in
this rather uncompensated form of stimulation.
Let's not go too far out of way into believing
things other than lifestyle factors can assure us of
good health. I for one think that other factors
offer more harm than good, most times.

Luke
