Dear Dr. Graham,

I have been asked to argument the following:

"Fatty acids are the heart's main source of fuel, although ketone bodies as well as lactate can serve as fuel for heart muscle. In fact, heart muscle consumes acetoacetate in preference to glucose. This is why we have to eat animal fats. Fruit and greens just don't give that fatty fuel that our hearts prefer. All apes, even bonobos, eat some animal foods."

I would greatly appreciate ideas for augmenting this.

Thanks in advance,
Marina
