I often think the same; in UK, fresh fruits are seldom
ripe and sweet enough to be satisfying; they give bulk
with little flavour, and leave one wanting more.
That's why I have partially given up on fresh fruits,
relying instead on dates and grapes mostly. Plus of
course, loads of veggies, which I find simply
delicious!

I think Dr D has indicated this is an ok compromise,
so long as one drinks enough to compensate for drier
fare.

But I also should like to know, so as not to feel
guilty after topping-up on dates after a meal of some
other fruit!
