Subject:         Bad Zinc:Copper ratio on 811rv diet causing eczema flare-up?
Date: June 29, 2014 at 10:16 pm PST

I researched more and found out that high copper and low zinc can cause
eczema! I've been experiencing the worst eczema flare-up as soon as I moved
to the HCLF diet (06/21/2014), this may be the cause! I'm very concerned.

My copper is way higher than zinc, perhaps due to high copper in bananas (the
ideal ratio of zinc: copper is 8:1 to 12:1). I barely reach 100% of my zinc
requirements on the 811rv diet but my copper is through the roof with 482%
(the ratio being too low at 2:1, courtesy cronometer.com).

How do I maintain these ratios on 811rv diet? I googled more and read
someone taking 1/4 cup of pumpkin seeds daily but then that will ruin my fat
%age. If I try to reduce copper, I will have to cut down on some fruits, especially
bananas! Please help!

My diet also seems to be way higher in phosphorous than calcium
(calcium:phosphorous should be 1:1 or higher). Please also suggest how to get
a good Calcium:Phosphorous ratio.

Information from googling:
"The human body has an elaborate system for managing and regulating the
amount of key trace metals such as zinc, copper, iron, manganese, chromium.
One of the most common malfunctions of this system is an excess of copper
and deficiency of zinc (copper-zinc imbalance), which can lead to hyperactivity,
attention deficit disorders, behavior disorders, depression, acne, eczema,
sensitive skin, sunburn, headaches, poor immune function and much more."
