Subject:         Bad eczema flare-up after one week of 811rv diet
Date: June 28, 2014 at 4:55 pm PST

Hello friends,

I started eating 811rv as of last Saturday 06/21/2014. I was on a high protein,
low carb vegan diet for 2 years (loading up on vegan protein shakes and seitan,
very little fruits and sugars). I would get eczema every once in a while on the
inner right elbow but it flared up as soon as last Tuesday and kept on getting
worse rapidly. I also have it on the inner left elbow now and its beginning to
show up on my cheeks, close to the nose, below the eyes.

I'm eating a lot of bananas, water melon, mangoes, and salads at night. I'm
getting around 3200 calories and taking a Vitamin D and Vitamin B12
supplement. Everything looks good on

I cut out kale, spinach (high oxalates) and tomatoes, bell peppers (nightshade
foods) two days ago, as someone on a similar post suggested could be causing
it, but haven't seem any improvement yet.

I was taking adaptogens like ashwagandha, maca and multivitamin, ZMA (zinc),
turmeric, ginger supplement and primrose oil that I stopped taking too.

The eczema is painful, it hurts even to fold my arms. Should I have transitioned
slowly? Should I add back some of these supplements and wean myself off more
gracefully? Are there any other vegan foods I must avoid like lemons, limes and
other citruses?
