Subject:         High(ish) fat diet

Hi Doug!

These days I am enjoying lot's of durian in Thailand, it's
actually my main calorie source and I'm noticing some
interesting effects I would like your opinion on!

I find myself still hungry in the afternoon, especially
craving mangoes for example, and sometimes straight after
eating a huge durian meal, even though I know I have eaten
enough calories, and sometimes even too much!

Do you think this is because I'm averaging about 25% of
calories from fat these days, and therefore not getting enough
carbohydrates to feel satiated?

In short, when eating high fat, is it possible to actually eat
too many calories for the day, but still be hungry due to a
"deficiency" in carbs?

And in such a case, I would presume one would also gain
weight, which I seem to be doing slowly as well..


PS! I am not really interested in whether or not it's
ultimately healthy to eat only durian for a period, as that's
a different discussion altogether.
