Subject:         Food Jiu Jitsu Scheduling w/ reflux

Hi Dr. Doug Graham. I came to this lifestyle from having Silent ACID Reflux
(LPR) What happens is my Lower Esophageal is weak/relaxed... Basically I can't
lay down till food is completely digested and out of my stomach. My question to
you is I am a serious brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor and to stay progressing at the
level I want I have to train mon-fri 11:00am-1:000pm and again 6:pm-7:45pm
I get home at 8pm to eat last meal. I do handstands/inversions/rebound in the
morning and so my morning 11am session is fasted. I try to fit in 1600+calories
soon as I get home after both training sessions while hoping It will be all out of
stomach 100% in 4 hours. If you were on this sort of schedule, would you make
any changes to your eating timings? sometimes I find myself under eating a
little on calories so have to smash down 20 banana/6oz romaine smoothie for
dinner and then I can't lay down till like 1am or 2am for bed... (so i sleep the
first few hours on an incline wedge pillow till i wake up to pee at like 3 am..then
i sleep horizontal rest of night. I feel I am not getting enough rest hours
horizontal. This also makes it quite difficult to get the recommended 1 lb. leafy
greens a day... actually impossible. 6-8oz a day sometimes none. All my
fruit/tender leafy greens are organic and have only eaten raw fruit/tender leafy
greens 1.9 years now.. Sorry such a long post, thank you.
Schedule in a nutshell
9:00 am wake up Handstands/rebounding/water
11:00am-1pm Jiu jitsu training
1:15ish Try and get in 1600-2000 calories fruit before 2:00
6pm-7:45pm Jiu jitsu training
8:00pm Try and stuff down 2000 calories of a mono fruit+6-8oz romaine
wait till food digests to lay down :( so tired by 11pm but foods not fully
