Hi Michael!

I like to eat more than I need, so that I have capacity to do more than I did the day before. Results in about 15-20% more calories than I would need (minimum) in order to not lose weight. It works best for me to get the calories in early. Like 80% of them until 3-4 p.m..
I weigh 65-67kg(1,75m) and aim for 2600-2800kcal minimum on "normal" days with little activity (surfing on the net, going to the supermarket, etc.) and without specific physical exercise.

I'd recommend, if you sit around all day (which is not healthy), then eat still at least around 2200-2400kcal, so you don't lack the energy to get more active.

See what feels and works best for you.
