The 80/10/10 Diet is WAY more flexible than most people give it credit for. Most folks buy in to some rigid rules that were never mentioned in the book, or in my presentations of the materials. Relax a bit. Eat fruits and vegetables. If you want to play with your food, create recipes, salads, sauces, and enjoyable textures, how wrong can that be? You're still just eating fruits and vegetables. It's not as if I'd lost the plot. Most people just don't understand how relaxed the guidelines really are.
It's not like I suggested we were to eat grains baked at 350 for 30 minutes. All I'm saying is that if you want to bring your friends and family an introduction that they will love, try them on some Simply Delicious recipes. If you don't want to make recipes, enjoy your banana.
