No, you do not want black spots on all different fruits as the black
may indicate rotting inside…..such as with citrus, melons, kiwis, and
others.


Not all my mangos (and I've eaten many) do get black spots though,
even though they are ripe and sweet. So with the mango, I simply wait
until it gets very soft. I also try to choose ones that have a
rosy/yellow coloring (little black spots are a bonus), instead of green.
