Subject:         Pelvic floor and running

Hello Doug and everybody,

After giving birth 1,5 years ago, i am having problems with my
pelvic floor.

In the beginning i had the feeling of having no stability in
my body. That i don´t have anymore, but i still am struggeling
to hold my urin when i need to go to the bathroom.

I went to a postnatal exercise course to strengthen the pelvic
floor and also read several books with recommendations for
better posture.

I have the feeling it helps me to at least have a normal
everyday life, only lifting my toddler or standing up/stitting
down can be difficult sometimes.

But today I started running again and had the feeling i couldn
´t keep my pelvic floor activated for longer than 30 seconds.
I couldn´t hold the urin and after the running i had pain in
the pelvic area.

Which method do you know to be successful to train the pelvic
floor? Or would you recommend a different sportive activity?
