I just ate a medium size honeydew which was very ripe and very sweet. After I had eaten most of it, I began to notice a different taste sensation. What began as a delectable sweetness became bitterness which in turn became mouth burn. I normally only eat half a honeydew and don't believe I've noticed any unusual mouth discomfort. Is it the portion closest to the skin that might be the culprit when you've eaten enough of it or something else?

With respect to digestability, how would you rate the combination of two different kinds of melon like honeydew and canteloupe? Would you say it's only a fair combination or one that shouldn't present any problems at all regardless of one's digestive power?
