Not knowing the extent of the infection, I cannot make direct suggestions. Typically, infections respond best to periods of fasting, during which blood sugar is maintained at a safe but relatively low level. Sugar does not cause the infection, but even relatively short periods of raised blood sugar will feed the infection unnecessarily.
