Our feet are designed for walking and running
obviously, and if you take off your shoes and go for a
run, you will find that after a short period of time
(minutes if not immediately) you stop landing on your
heels and more toward your forefoot.

Look at children running barefoot, they are light on
their feet, using the foot and legs natural suspension

Also, it's not that you run "on your forefoot" only,
it's just that the forefoot i the first point of
impact, then the middle of the foot.

But really, there's no need to wonder or worry, just
go for a run barefoot like nature "intended", I am
certain you will not find heelstrikes very
comfortable, and will naturally find your style!
