Hello,
I thought I would do this rawtill4 thing. But yesterday evening I had an experience that's making me commit to going fully raw.
Since I have been on a juice fast for 22 days, I thought I would break the fast with a smoothie this morning. And yesterday evening I broke it by eating some raw black olives. My body felt fine after them, although it's certainly not the best way to break a fast. Since it was evening, I thought I could also try to eat some cooked food, and I prepared some asparagus (the white one we have here in Germany). It has always been my favourite food since I was a child, and I thought it is also light enough. I made a sauce out of 1 very small teaspoon of almond butter, lemon juice and hot water. It really wasn't a big portion.
When eating it, I noticed immediately that it didn't taste as good as I expected. And then I noticed that I didn't feel fine in my body. I felt kind of dizzy, like being in a fog. The food felt like some kind of poison. Then I had difficulties to sleep and when I woke up this morning I noticed that I had to sniff my nose several times - and I didn't have that symptom anymore during my juice fast (only the first days, then it was completely gone).
So now I am glad I had this experience and already yesterday evening I made the decision to go totally raw. Just wanted to share this experience with you.
Now I am enjoying my smoothie.
