Dear Dr Graham,

I was concerned by the post "avocado vs chips." Have you noticed many adults
who follow 80/10/10 as a calonutrient ratio, raw or otherwise, think it is
suitable for children? Would you think it necessary to make it very clear on your
website and here that it is only recommended for people of a certain age and
up? I would hate to think of young children being fed 80/10/10 because of
misunderstanding on this topic.
I know you have always made it clear that young children need a high fat diet
(I'm guessing this is consistent with the calonutrient ratio of breast milk given
that the average age for weaning globally is several years?) and certainly anyone
who asked you would always get the same answer, but people still seem to be
unaware of this important fact. From what age would you consider less than
40-50% calories from fat appropriate? Should the percentage be very gradually
brought down to 10% or less?
From what age do you suggest solids, in addition to breast milk, should be
introduced?
Still waiting for your book, co-written with Prof. Graham, on children's health!

With love and gratitude,
Bronwyn
