Just curious if anyone is familiar with pesticides. I found some strawberries at my local farmer's market that are absolutely ripe & delicious. I inquired as to whether or not they were organic and the farmer informed me that they only use pesticides in the soil prior to planting, and that no pesticide sprays were used. I was a little disappointed they weren't organic because they tasted so much better than the organic ones that are never ripe at the grocery store. I typically do not buy non-organic berries at all due to high pesticide residue. Anyone know if soil only pesticides leave less residues?
