Thanks for responding.

I don't eat dried fruit but recently gave in and bought some in the interest of trying to boost caloric intake in the absence of availability of dense, organic fruit other than bananas. In the quantities I consume, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference. The most I've tried is 8 figs (white turkish as Whole Foods refers to them) blended with a bunch of bananas. It didn't sit that well afterward and I find those dried figs too sweet, whether I eat them alone or combined. I've tried Medjool dates from the stores but have not eaten more than 3 at a time by themselves. Same with dried apricots which I like because they're not overly sweet.

Which Bautista dates have you tried? I'm thinking of ordering Khadrawy. Did you order the wet-pack or firm-pack? What are they like?
