On a high fat diet, as I explained in The 80/10/10 Diet, eating lots of fruit is a poor plan that will likely lead to a variety of health issues. Of course, eating fruit is not the same as eating fructose, and has nothing to do with eating HFCS. The tests done on fructose were performed utilizing HFCS, and the authors of those studies stated clearly in their conclusions that fruit was to be specifically exempted from any negative connections. So, Fat Chance is based upon a flawed understanding of the relationship between fruit, fructose, and cancer. Increased fat consumption results in lowered blood/oxygen concentration, the exact condition that best supports the growth of cancer.
