Hi Linda, I too just threw away 6 heads organic
bananas! I hadn't bought them for months. but
psyched up to eat them cos grapes have gone off with
European imports we get in uk. I usually find only
grapes and dates really appeal, other fruit is
seldom sweet enough or I can't find it organic and
conventionally-grown just tastes horrid and

If it's any help, I find Dr Graham's video snippet
"Should dates be your staple food on 811" reassuring
- he says there is nothing wrong with dates so long
as you drink enough water to counteract their
partially dried texture. So to stay raw in Winter
(which I agree feels so much better), I allow myself
dates as staple, plus a variety of greens. I never
eat dates without greens: wrapped in lettuce, with
cucumber slices/chunks, chopped into a green salad
etc. Also I drink many many litres of water a day,
as much as I desire. But I work out a lot; that
keeps me raw too, as I just don't have the same
energy if I eat even a baked potato or piece of

Psychologically because of the cold weather I want
hot for comfort, so I also drink lots of fruit/non-
caffeine teas. This is not perfect 811rv of course;
it is seeking the least harmful option that I feel
good about living with and importantly, enjoy.

I recommend getting cooked options like grains out
of the house; they are addictive. And read Grain

Hope this helps a bit,
