Dear Dr. Graham,

my son is 14 years old. He's been on a low fat raw vegan diet for a year and half now.

He suffers from Gilbert's syndrome. Since he's been on raw diet he is often ill, suffering from various respiratory infections and stomach problems, like diarrhea lasting for up two weeks. He also got many moles on his face that he hadn't had before.

In this period his bilirubin lowered from 39 to 22.

I am really desperate since I believed that transitioning his diet from a standard to a LFRV would make things better, but apparently the opposite happened. I understand that not all is about the diet, but I don't know what to do. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

Thankful mother Sonja from Belgrade.
