Her typical fall/winter diet looks like this:

High water fruit for breakfast, often oranges, maybe 3-4 pounds or so
gross. Earlier in the season it might be half a watermelon.

For lunch a salad or vegetable based meal (spiraled zucchini). That
most times involves a fruit-based sauce or dressing (2-3 mangos, or
maybe a bunch of bended strawberries, either with tomatoes). With
salads she gets about a pound of romaine and/or spinach in.

Dinner seems to be her largest meal. In cold months it's typically
dateorade, with .5 to .75 pounds of dates. Otherwise it's something
higher calorie that's seasonal (e.g. persimmons).

Snacks here and there on dried mango or grapes, things that are quick
and easy to eat. Rarely has overts in those months at all. Best I gather,
she's hovering around 2000 calories, maybe a little under or over
depending. I don't think she exceeds 2500 all that often.

She's 5'5", 17.5 y.o., and believes she lost weight the first 3 months
she converted to 811 from veganism, but after that point regressed
from a weight standpoint. She says that she has often experienced
periods of "feeling crappy" during the 2.5 years 811.

Exercise-wise, it fluctuates. She goes through fits and starts of doing
either a lot of boot camp-type exercises or running, and then little as
her resolve wavers.

Her mom is pretty round and it seems to run in that side of the family.
In fact, her mom has been (or is) on thyroid meds for a while.

The other months she's often eating high-water tropicals in the
morning, vegetable/salad at lunch...maybe with available fruit, often
has fresh OJ or tangerine juice (8C at a time), jackfruit, rollinia,
cherimoya/atemoya for a bigger meal. I paid some attention as I'm
one to count my own calories and record things and I think she's
consistently in the 2500 or so calorie range in those conditions.

She's not blaming the diet, but she's feeling like everyone else in the
world can eat 811 and get great external results regardless of how
much they exercise. She's not, and it's made her question whether she
should go for the rice and potatoes.
