I have found that if I can power through the first 4 or 5 days on
a deficit, the next weeks are easier. Not that I can do it
perfectly all the time, but the direction is the important part.
You don't need constant willpower (and absolute constant
willpower is impossible), you just need it for the first few days.
Also, don't beat yourself up for binging. Just try to binge less
next time. I am also finding now that when I cheat I it's usually
because my worst cravings are on alternate days, which
makes sense. If you cheat every other day or so, just make
sure it is a little less than the previous time. like I said, I'm not
at all where I want to be yet, but it's fun getting there. I am
learning a lot.
