Subject:         Catching up on calories

Hi Doug!

If I do low calorie days every now and then, on purpose for long
term weight loss or just because sometimes I happen to eat less,
will the body "catch up" on calories on the following days,
rendering the weight loss strategy useless?

If I eat 500 calories less one day, does that mean that I did
indeed loose that amount worth of fat, or does the body simply
increase my hunger the following week, in which case I would
need to "watch my calories" on the days following as well?
