Subject:         Dehydration / Possible Diabetes Insipidus?
Date: October 8, 2013 at 9:14 am PST

Hey Doug and others,

I have recently in the last month or so become super dehydrated throughout the
night and I can only sleep about an hour and a half at a time before my
dehydration wakes me up and I have to drink about 3-4 glasses of water. I
drink about 6-8 Litres of water throughout the day and eat mainly high water
fruit mono meals with a big bowl of romaine at night. And along with this
extreme dehydration obviously comes excess urination because of drinking so
much. So I wake up about 6-8 times throughout the night. Seems I can't retain
any of the water.

I was on the "candida diet" of high fat high protein very low carb for 4 years and
I usually slept 10 hours through the night. Obviously after realizing this diet
was a huge mistake for my body I switched to raw vegan and have been loving
the benefits. Although this new problem which seems to be some type of
diabetes insipidus is really killing me. I don't eat that close to bed time and I
drink loads of water 30-45 minutes after my last meal of the day until bed time.

I am definitely not waking up because I need to urinate, I wake up because my
body is so dehydrated its almost put into a state of shock.

Most sites dont have any recommendations for a natural cure for this and most
say to avoid sodium. Should I cut back on things like honeydew and celery that
were pretty common in my daily meals?

I tried one 3 day water fast and then just finished a 5 day water fast and to be
honest i think it made matters worse. on day 4 and 5 of this recent water fast I
was so dehydrated no matter how much water I drank and I could barely sleep
for an hour at a time without needing to rehydrate.

Curious to any feedback. On 30 bananas a day I didnt get a single response, I
know it's pretty uncommon so I don't blame them.

Thanks!
