after a few months due to insufficient fruit calories.
No info I read emphasised the amount of fruit you need
to eat, til I read The 80/10/10 Diet.

Sounds to me you simply need to eat plenty more fruit,
and don't think of adding extra cals from fat, as you
are already considering after a few days. If
volume/time it takes gets too much, just opt for more
dried or semi-dried (eg dates).

And remember to make time for greens, you will fall
off the wagon and develop deficiencies if not. They
can be eaten with fruit, there's no rigid rule about
salad in the evenings.
