Thank you Dr Graham and Karmyn,

sorry, I should have clarified, I'm hoping to not have a huge baby.
Most of the babies in my family were 10, 11 and 12 pounds at birth.
I was 11 pounds, my husband was 10. I read that belly size has
nothing to do with foetus size, but I'm hoping it does.

I'm keen to have an unmedicated, intervention free birth, which, if I'm
successful, would put me in the 5% of women who birth this way in
Australia.

My pregnancy has been 811rv and I practice hypnobirthing and
exercise. My mother consumed exorbitant quantities of flavoured
milk, cheese and yoghurt (gotta get that "calcium"! ha ha) when
pregnant with my brother and I, alongside a lot of processed and
unprocessed meat. With any luck, the hormone transfer could
explain my birth weight and will also allow me to not have such a
large baby.

I understand, as you said Karmyn, that most of the significant growth
in a healthy baby happens after birth, so there's no benefit in a baby
having a large birth weight.

It seems that 811rv children grow slower but eventually reach the
same height as their non-811rv peers and do not suffer early
puberty. I hope the same slower and healthier development is also
the case for foetuses.

Thanks again,
Bronwyn
