Hi Doug!

I need your advice!

Went to the dentist today, had 3 cavities that needs filling. Hesitant to do the
work because it damages the tooth and hinders future remineralization but I
guess if it has progressed that far, it's the best option. I also had a lot of plaque
that the dentist wants to remove by using sandblaster. The plaque might well be
the reson for all the cavities (new within the last 6 months probably).

I'm 100% 811rv, and have been for the last 2 years. However I did eat a fair bit of
unripe oranges a few months back (over a 3 month period) and I think that might
definately have had a bad impact (obviously!). Only whole, fresh, RIPE, raw,
organic from now on. I brush my teeth about twice a day after meals, always
floss, brush only with water, and rinse my mouth as well with water.

Here's my questions:

1. If eating a natural diet, WHY do we get plaque that causes trouble? All other
animals seem to get by fine, but we have to remove plaque at the dentists?
Ideas? Eating more greens? (I do eat as recommended in your book) Could the
acids in the unripe oranges somehow cause the plaque to build?

2. Any strong objections against sandblasting/removing the plaque?

3. The dentist suggest using flouride, as dentists do. I know the problems didn't
arise from a lack of flouride rinse in my diet, but that if I'm having problems,
there's obviously other factors causing them, that are currently beyond my
knowledge! However, if one were to use a fluoride rinse, sort of like a
supplement/buying time while figuring out the real cause, do you have any
opinions on the use of that or especially, do you have any strong objections
against using fluoride?

Short answers to the three would be great!

Thank you Doug!

Michael
