Subject:         New to the 80-10-10 lifestyle

Hi Doug - I'm a newbie (21 days totally on 80-10-10 LFRV with a transitional period of about a month prior), 55 year old menopausal woman who has been researching info on the 80-10-10 lifestyle for midlife women and have been unable to find any information. I have read your book along with a lot of information that is out there on the internet. The concept appears to be quite simple and I believe I am following the diet correctly. However, not only am I not loosing any weight I am gaining. I am healthy and have eaten a clean cooked diet for the past 15 years. My weight has been stable at 130 lbs for the past several years. I have been a runner, having run 4 1/2 marathons (but have what seems to be a leg injury, or perhaps a healing crisis -still trying to figure that one out) and am currently not running but am doing yin/restorative yoga 3 times a week, along with some walking, but that's tough due to the leg pain. In the last 6 months I have gained 25 pounds and am now sitting at 155 lbs and the weight will not budge. My diet consists of mostly mono-meals of fruit throughout the day and a large mega sized salad for dinner with a fruit blended salad dressing. I am also juicing greens with an apple base everyday. No overt fats are eaten on a daily basis. If I go out for dinner, I will have a salad and some guacamole, every now and them but no other overt fats (such as nuts and seeds) are being eaten. My question for you is - does menopausal hormone imbalances in the body affect the results achieved when trying to loose weight on 80-10-10. I have 30 lbs to loose and am frustrated at not seeing any movement in the down direction. What can I do differently to quick start the weight lose. Thanks for answering my question.
