Subject:         difference between fasting ketosis and low carb (animal protein) ketosis?
Date: August 24, 2013 at 9:46 am PST

I'd really like to hear a clear explanation of this. I just
watched Dr. Douglas Graham talk for an hour and a half about
"Fasting" and he said that "when you fast all facets of
anatomy and physiology vector towards health" and that our
toxins are stored in our fat and thus as we fast on water
alone our body feeds on our fat thus getting rid of the
toxins.
This makes total sense to me but at the same time I've read
over and over again low carb diets (ketogenic) are something
to be avoided - yet they lead to the same resulting fat loss?!
And many testify that they never felt better and their
bloodwork proves it and amazes their doctors. My doctor looks
the picture of health, so does his nurse and they promote a
low carb diet now. I've read many, many books about the raw
food diets (high fat and low fat) and about the low carb SAD
diet. Is there anyone out there who knows the truth about all
this?
I am not trying to stir up trouble here - believe me. I just
don't know where to turn anymore and so need to hear
explanations that make sense to me. Please, won't some of you
comment on this? I hope my question makes sense?
