This is just out of curiosity more than anything:
I suffered a knee injury as a teenager (no surgery) and spent many months in a leg brace and in physical therapy. I was told I strained my tendons and ligaments and slightly dislocated my knee cap. Since treatment ended, I have minimal problems with the injury. Yesterday, of all times, I was lying in bed and went to turn over when my knee "popped" out of place and immediately "popped" back in place. I can only describe it as a sideways twist, as if twisting the cap off a bottle. The pain was tremendous but subsided after a few minutes and is now just a dull throb and I am walking as normal, I am just afraid of it happening again. I know that a raw plant-based diet is considered to heal the body, so would it not help my injury heal?? Also, I feel a need to take a rest from my workouts (mainly high intensity interval training flip-flopping from cardio to strength training on a regular basis) and needed to know if this is recommended, or would it be best to focus more on strengthening the muscles which surround the knee to help alleviate the problem? Also, would you recommend yoga instead of the strength training? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated
