Subject:         Knee pain. What can I do?
Date: August 6, 2013 at 4:15 pm PST

I am consistently plagued with pain in my right knee since I started running. This pain shows up usually after just a mile of running.

I was thinking this is just runner's knee, but I've noticed I get the same pain when I do less "impact" related activities.

For example, just simply walking or hiking will eventually trigger this knee pain as well. It takes a lot longer for the pain to show up though... after just about 5 or 6 miles.

Even cycling brings about this pain. Though with cycling it takes MUCH more work for the pain to appear. Usually around like 25miles or so.

A few days resting my leg and the pain almost entirely goes away, but this has been happening for some time now.

I'm 25, I eat 80/10/10rv, and am usually fairly active but not so much with this eventual knee pain that shows up.

I am including more squats and strength exercises, but I'm starting to think its not just a muscle in my knee that needs work and could be something more.

Anyone else have a similar experience before?
