I am reading some really interesting things about the
Ileocaecal valve. My son was diagnosed with issues a few
years ago and I think I have it too, which would explain a
LOT. Since starting raw foods, my digestion has been awful
and I get a big pregnant belly frequently. I have had luck
using probiotics but it seems to come and go - sometimes the
probiotics make it worse! With my son this pregnant belly was
a symptom for him as well but since I knew I had a gut
microflora imbalance I just never looked past that as a cause
for myself. Now I am putting the peices together.

Anyhow several links I've found are talking about how the
extra roughage is bad for ICV syndrome and it often comes on
as people try to eat healthier - they might be eating more
nutrients but it throws off their digestive system so they
don't actually absorb much more. I personally have been eating
a ton of vegetables lately and maybe that correlates with th
issues I've been having. I am going to try a fruit only diet
this week to see if I can get it gone, also using the massage
techniques to manually close the valve.

The articles say a lot about chiropractic stuff so I am
surprised Dr Graham hasn't mentioned this before, that I've

- this article also goes into nutrient absorption and how
getting the bacteria backed up into the small intestine can
throw off B-12 levels. Also some interesting stuff about
excessive potassium bringing down Vitamin D levels.
