Dear Dr Graham,

I have my pregnancy gestational diabetes test in a month (28 weeks). My
obstetrician told me not to eat any "cakes, biscuits, jam, honey, sugar, fruit or
fruit juice" for my breakfast before the test. He suggested I eat toast with
cheese and tea. When I arrive I'll be given a sugary drink and the test will be
done an hour later. I was wondering how a fruit breakfast would hinder a
diabetes test that doesn't require fasting.

With love and gratitude,
Bronwyn
