Hi Doug!

What's the deal with fat soluble vitamins? I wanna make sure I understand
correctly! I'm a bit confused, so I find it hard to even word my questions! I'm
looking for a basic understanding on what they are and how they relate to the
food, uptake and assimilation etc.

1. Does it mean the vitamins are inside the fat of the food?
2. Does it mean that when they are absorbed into the blood they are taken up
with the fat of the food and transported with the fat?
3. Is it in any way connected with eating overt fats etc? I mean, do you get more
of the fat soluble vitamins when eating avocado/nuts/seeds on occasion, or do
we get plenty of the fat soluble vitamins from all fruits and plain lettuce?

Just want to expand my basic nutritional knowledge! This issue has been on my
mind for a long time!

Thanks
