Thanks for this exchange. I have learned much from it. According to the internet research I did, it is a question of finding a balance for the swelling as they have now learned that the inflammation releases the IGF hormone that promotes healing. I guess it`s another example pf the 'Goldilocks' rule that you don`t want too much or too little just the right amount. As for the right amount & type of movement, why not trust the body`s pain signals? Also, wouldn't a short fast help with the healing process as this would most likely occur in nature after an injury?
