You should (re)read 80 10 10.

My opinion is that :

b. probably you don't get enough calories from your
current diet - in order to feel satiated you should
get: enough calories, enough quantity of food, and
enough sugar (you can find in the book the exact
explanation, but this is my profane interpretation,
from memory)

A. "The gluten-containing grains (primarily wheat,
but also rye, barley, and oats) contain at least
fifteen opioid sequences, which are strongly
addictive, morphine-like substances that have potent
psychoactive properties and produce serious
neurological disorders, constipation, urinary
retention, nausea, vomiting, cough suppression, and
other symptoms" (extract from the book itself)
==> pasta and, especially, bread are addictive

Also, I know this from my own experience (I love
organic bread :-(
