It is a myth that Brazil nuts are rich in selenium (and that one such nut per day is sufficient). They can contain some selenium but that depends on factors and that should not, or can not be relied upon.

BTW non of the calorometric values in nutrient databases can be relied upon, because digestion does not work the way calorometry works. Bioavailability of nutrients will depend on factors that are not reflected by calorometry.
