Hello Dr Graham,

I am on the 80/10/10 diet, a female athlete and I have iron deficiency, which I had before the diet and all my life.

I want to start supplementing iron and would like to ask for your advice. There is 1 iron supplement brand that I found in a "food state", however it contains s cervisae yeast.

Is it ok to take or shall I chose another brand? The other brand is also a "food state" iron, however it has stabilized rice bran added to it (I don't suspect that the acerola and barley grass ingredients would cause any problems). Would this be better to take?

Other brands I looked at are non food state iron and they have other additives like bulking agents.

I would be so grateful for your advice.
