I've managed to change my diet massively after years of trying by accepting that I will occasionally fall off and not to beat myself up but consider this as a blip and resume my healthy living. This change in attitude seems to have made all the difference and i'm nearly totally low fat vegan.

One thing I am curious about though is whether things such as fats, salt, bread etc are addictive and in some ways i'm making things harder for myself. I had a bag of chips last night (uk version from fish shop with salt and vinegar on) and a bread bun. I definitely had some kind of hangover this morning and slept in late to get over it. Also I don't seem to feel satiated today. An hour or two after eating about 1500 cals of nanas, dates and lettuce smoothie i'm eating peanuts and raisins to feel satiated. The lack of satiation feels somewhat anxiety driven.

It's odd as 4 months ago I would have had a hangover from 20 units of alcohol and a takeaway curry and would have craved junk food. Is today the tamed down version?

Making this transition alone is very difficult and I appreciate any help
