I've always used to soak nuts and seeds when I've eaten them,
because I've heard so much good about it. However, recently
I've been questioning the practice, as it seems an odd thing
to do from a hygienic viewpoint. We, as humans, have probably
eaten 99% or more of our nuts in their raw state right of the
tree or from the ground in shells. The chances of a nut being
pre-soaked by nature before we ate it is of course slim. This
leads me to think that we have, if anything, adapted to eating
the unsoaked versions of nuts and seeds.

What are your views on soaking nuts and seeds for improved
digestibility and assimilation?

Thank you
