811 does not require that you eat 100% raw in order to benefit. Optimal benefits are found on 811rv, no question, but 811v is a good starting point.
Suggestions for the fact that the fruit where you live is poor in winter:
1. Keep looking to source better fruit.
2. Take at least a holiday, if not a longer visit, to somewhere warm each winter.
3. Learn to use persimmon, pears, and other fruits to delay the onset of sparse winter fare.
4. Learn to use dried fruit, if necessary, to hasten the onset of sweet fruit consumption in late spring.
5. Learn more about the different types of citrus available to you during the winter months so as to be eating the best that you can procure.
