While it is "ok" to be a night owl, as long as you still get sufficient sleep, but other issues often arise with staying up very late. All too often, we either miss lots of great morning experiences, or we have to get up early and lose sleep.
I recommend getting to bed as early as possible most of the time, and being willing to be flexible as necessary.
