Hello June,
yes 811 simply refers to a calonutrient ratio of 80% carbohydrates,
10% fat and 10% protein. 811rv, refers to this ratio being comprised
of raw fruits and vegetables. As Dr Graham designed the program,
811rv refers to sufficient raw fruits and tender greens, exercise,
sunlight, rest, emotional poise etc... While Dr Graham has referred to
garlic and scallions as irritants, he's also suggested he's not
concerned if someone wants to use a small amount of spice or a
garlic clove in the 811rv meal. 811rv is more about the bigger
picture of organic produce, enough fruit carbohydrates, enough
sleep, no more than 10% overt fats, gratitude etc.. In this light taking
a flight overnight is not ideal, not enough sunlight is not ideal, a lot
of garlic and scallions wouldn't be ideal. Thus no-one does 811rv
perfectly all the time. However we can still reap the benefits of the
811rv lifestyle by following all of the factors most of the time.
Best wishes,
Bronwyn
